Welcome

I am pleased to announce the completion of the Center for the Analysis of Crime Statistics' first victimization survey of Nevada residents. This study was funded through a grant from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (2008-BJ-CX-K025). Findings from the CACS study have been published as a State Data Brief and is available here.

I am also pleased to announce that CACS has received an award from the Bureau of Justice Statitics (2009-BJ-CX-K35) to provide funding for our Arrest-Related Deaths in Custody Reporting Project. The aim of this project is to support the implementation of a statewide data collection effort to obtain information regarding deaths that occurred during the course of an arrest by local law enforcement agencies in Nevada.

Finally, Crime Mapping: A Journal of Research and Practice is still accepting manuscript submissions for future issues. For more information on the journal's submission guidelines. Click here.
