The Galleries at UNLV consists of a consortium of exhibition spaces including the Marjorie Barrick Museum, the Donna Beam Gallery, the Metcalf Alumni Gallery, the Healy and Hayes Performing Arts Center Gallery, the Judy Bayley Theater Fischer Gallery and the Doc Rando Recital Hall Gallery. All are under the auspices of the Department of Art in the College of Fine Arts. A wide range of exhibitions is presented in the galleries throughout the academic year.
Exhibitions may feature the work of nationally and internationally recognized artists, regionally acclaimed artists, UNLV faculty, and UNLV’s own graduate and undergraduate students. It may be a group exhibition where a common concept is explored; a one-person exhibition representative of a career’s work or a look at a new body of work; thesis exhibitions for Master of Fine Arts candidates; a group exhibition of student work selected by a visiting artist; or any number of other themes, artists, or curators. Each venue offers a unique opportunity to directly experience art first-hand.
