2006 Admission Requirements - Transfer Student

The admission requirements will change in fall 2006. Students applying as undergraduate transfer students must meet the following minimum requirements:

1.

Fulfill the definition of an undergraduate transfer student at UNLV:

UNLV defines transfer students as those who have earned at least 24 transferable credits from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution upon application to UNLV. Applicants with less than 24 transferable credits are considered to be freshman transfer students.

2.

Have at least a 2.3 cumulative g.p.a. to be considered for admission.

NOTE: Once you are admitted, your academic department will make a determination on how your transferable courses will fit into your degree program. Transferable courses are defined as college credit earned at a regionally accredited school and are not listed as religious, remedial, or vocational. While there is no limit to the number of credits you may transfer, be aware that half of the credits required for a baccalaureate degree must be earned at a four-year institution.
