What to do After You've Been Admitted
Advising— All students must to obtain academic advising prior to registration. Please contact the college advising center for your major for more information and to set-up an appointment.
Registration — Information about registration procedures, enrollment dates, and registration scheduling times is available in the online registration guide. When you are ready to register for classes, access our online registration system. Please contact the Office of the Registrar at (702) 895-3443 with any questions or concerns.
Nevada Residency (In-State Tuition) -- Unless you have graduated from a Nevada High School, your residency status will default to "Non-Resident" to learn about the Nevada residency for tuition requirements.
Orientation — Orientation is typically scheduled the week prior to the first day of classes. Check the orientation schedule for dates and times. Information regarding orientation will also be mailed to all newly admitted students.
Textbooks — Once you have registered for classes, you can purchase your textbooks at the UNLV Bookstore. Be sure to bring a copy of your schedule with you to the bookstore.
Parking Permit — Parking permits can be purchased online at the Permit Store. Students should be prepared to complete all required fields including mailing information; driver's license; vehicle make, year, and license plate number; permit type; and credit card information. For more information, contact Parking Services at (702) 895-1300.
ID Card — Most students receive their Rebel Cards during orientation. To receive your Rebel Card, present your official government identification, such as a driver's license or passport, at the Rebel Card Services Office. For more information, call (702) 895-2351.
Tuition Payments — To avoid late penalties, tuition payments are always due the Friday before the start of the semester. To register for the time deferred payment option, contact the Cashiering Office at (702) 895-3683.
