International Students - Admissions Application

Are you an international student (one who needs UNLV to issue Form I-20 for you to be in the U.S. with the immigration visa status F-1) and are you interested in applying to UNLV for undergraduate admission? If yes, you are on the right page.

Before you begin, please review the checklist below to assist you with the application process.

Please be prepared to pay the $95 application fee by bankcard (debit or credit) to complete the online application. If you do not have access to such a bankcard, submit a paper application with a check or money order payable to the Board of Regents.
The online application takes an average of 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The online application does not have a "save" function, so if you close the browser window or turn off the computer, you will be required to start the application again.
If you are a student from the Clark County School District (CCSD) in Nevada, please have your CCSD ID available to complete your application. If you graduated from a Clark County High School within the past 5 years and do not have your CCSD ID number, please contact your high school to obtain this information. If you graduated from a CCSD High School more than 5 years ago, call 702-799-2487 to obtain your CCSD ID number. Visit the CCSD web homepage.
If you were a fully admitted student at UNLV before, or if you applied within the past year, please contact Student Enrollment Services at 702-895-3443 (email: registrar@unlv.edu ) BEFORE starting this application.
If you were ever issued an official U.S. Social Security Number (SSN), please include it in this application. If you do not have a SSN, you may still complete the admissions application process.
Upon successful completion of the application, you are required to submit additional documentation including:
  • Confidential Financial Certification Form

  • School records
(OFFICIAL report of all courses attempted and results) from EACH school attended (secondary and beyond). Transcripts must be received by the deadline date in a sealed envelope from the school or appropriate examining board. In addition, if documents are not written in English, a line-by-line translation is required.

NOTE: If the Educational Authority in your country issues official documents only once, please contact Office of The Registrar & Admissions for further instructions.

  • Proof of English Language Ability
Acceptable documents include any one of the following:

    • International TOEFL
    • UNLV Michigan Exam
    • University-level course taken at a U.S. university/college which is equivalent to UNLV English 101 with grade of C or above earned
    • Four years of U.S. college-preparation high school English and appropriate ACT/SAT score

NOTE: If you do not have official proof of English proficiency, select the major "ESL" as your first-choice major on the application form or we cannot process your application.
For more information, please see UNLV's How to Apply page for international students.

By checking this box you are verifying that you have read and understood the items listed above and are prepared to move on to the online application.

It's time to decide. Will you be a Rebel? Let us know if you're signing up for summer or fall 2008 classes.
