The president's cabinet is composed of the university's vice presidents, senior advisor to the president, general counsel, and athletic director.

Academic Units
Academic units comprise the university's colleges, schools, departments, and educational programs. The provost's office oversees these units and is charged with ensuring the quality of faculty and the student body as well as academic and budgetary policy, expanding the research enterprise, and maintaining overall educational excellence. University Governance and Organization
University governance at UNLV includes several bodies:
- Board of Regents, a 13-member elected body representing the Nevada System of Higher Education
- Faculty Senate, a policymaking body of UNLV faculty and professional staff
- President's Cabinet, a 12-member body that provides advice and counsel to the president on matters of university policy, procedure, and planning
- Academic Council, a council of deans and other academic officers
- Classified Staff Council, a council representing UNLV classified staff
- Consolidated Students of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (CSUN), a student government organization representing UNLV's undergraduate student body
- Graduate Professional Student Association (GPSA), a student association that promotes and represents the interests of graduate and professional students
