Who We Are

CHIA serves the community by making specific Nevada hospital related data available to both the private and public sectors. We are a research center at the University of Nevada Las Vegas under the Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies. We work in conjunction with the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy of the Department of Health and Human Services for the State of Nevada.  Our goal is to provide meaningful data to help research organizations in developing utilization patterns, health status and related issues.

Our Center maintains the inpatient records for acute care hospitals as well as the Nevada Hospital Quarterly Reports (NHQR). Electronic versions of the last five years of reports can be found by clicking on the link to the left.

Nevada Health Choices is an annual publication that displays five year trends for 39 of the most common medical and surgical diagnoses by DRG as reported by Nevada's general acute care hospitals.
