Data Submission Formats

NOTICE: The Center for Health Information Analysis, under contract with the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy, collects both Inpatient and Outpatient billing data. All Nevada acute care hospitals and certified Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) are required to submit these data in the formats specified below.

All data is submitted in fixed format ASCII files:

ASC Patient Encounters July 1, 2008 and forward (CHIA is directly working with ASC vendors to finalize submission format)

By state REGULATION, all acute care hospitals and ASCs are to submit their data to our Center on a monthly basis. Each months data is to be submitted within 45 days of the end of each month. For example, January data must be submitted by March 15.
