
A former Mathematics
Educator of the Year, Johnson has written numerous articles and collaborated on
and co-authored numerous books about the teaching of mathematics. He has
presented his views on teaching mathematics around the world. Johnson began his
career as a middle school math teacher. He is considered an expert in school
reform; minority student achievement; standardized testing; and teaching
teachers of mathematics.
