Conference 2002--MEMPHIS

MEMPHIS 2002
March 7-9, 2002

2001 Registration Form is available online

This is an announcement for a mathematics education conference being held in Memphis, Tennessee on March 7-9, 2002.

The 29th Annual  Conference is sponsored by the Research Council on Mathematics Learning (formerly known as RCDPM).  Our organization seeks to stimulate, generate, coordinate, and disseminate research efforts designed to identify, understand, and affect factors that influence mathematics learning.  Our conference is small (typically an attendance between 100 and 150) which allows for both formal and informal interactions.  We are especially interested in "works in progress" and like to ask "have you though about. . . " questions.  We believe this conference is a wonderful opportunity for pre-tenured faculty and graduate students to present their ideas and receive feedback from some of the leading mathematics educators in the country.
Please consider joining us in March 2002 in Memphis.  We ask that you also share the proposal form below with colleagues and graduate students.

If anyone wishes to offer suggestions to the organizing committee regarding any aspect of this meeting, address comments to Bill Speer (speerw@nevada.edu), Marilyn Ford (fordm@nevada.edu), Virginia Usnick (vusnick@nevada.edu) or Jeff Shih (jshih@nevada.edu).

Mark your calendars for March 7-9, 2002!
