| The ATE is governed by an elected Board of Directors. Board members represent school and college based teacher educators, educational agencies, and state and regional units of ATE, such as NATE. The officers of NATE are President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Board meets quarterly to address educational issues, set policies, and oversee the administration of ATE. State and regional units of ATE elect delegates who meet annually to study resolutions and set policies for the Association. Governance of the Association is carried out by appointed standing committees. |

| Article I
Name of the Unit |
| The name of the unit is the Nevada Association of Teacher Educators (NATE). |
| Article II
Purpose |
| The purpose of NATE is to uphold the goals and purposes of ATE,
to
form linkages with pre K-16 schools designed to improve teacher education, to provide a forum for discussion of issues related to teacher education, to undertake teacher education improvement projects, and to promote sound teacher education programs. |

Membership |
| Section 1- Definition
NATE's membership is open to all Nevada teachers, administrators, teacher educators, and persons interested in teacher education. Section 2- Classification

Executive Board |
| Section 1- Officers and Delegates
The following officers will be elected: President (elected as President-elect), ExecutiveSecretary, Treasurer, National Delegate (University-based), National Delegate (school-based) and alternate National Delegates, one University-based and one school-based. In addition, the outgoing President will serve a two year term as Past President. Section 2- Qualifications

Committees |
| Standing committees will be elected at the annual meeting of the
unit as they are required. Members will serve for a one year term. Ad hoc committees will be appointed by the President as the need arises. A list of responsibilities of each committee will be approved at the time of the committee formation. Permanent standing committees are the Membership and Program Committees. |
| Article VI
Autonomy |
| NATE is autonomous in all matters that do not conflict with the
ATE BYLAWS. |
| Article VII
Amendments |
| Amendments to the NATE Constitution shall be submitted to the
membership at a regular meeting for discussion. Further discussion shall take place at a subsequent meeting, at which time ballots will be distributed to all voting members and shall be passed by a ballot vote of 2/3 of the members voting. |
