Scholarships

Financial aid is essential for many students attending UNLV. While funding through programs like the Nevada Millennium Scholarship has made a significant impact in the lives of students, there are still countless others in need of funding.

Supporting scholarship funds is a great way to help ensure that all students are able to realize their dreams of higher-education degrees. Below are two very important scholarship funds for your consideration:

The UNLV Foundation Annual Scholarship Fund
This general scholarship fund enables UNLV to pool resources of donors to make awards and apply them wherever the need is greatest. This fund is also used to attract and retain academically talented students, many of whom receive multiple scholarship offers from other institutions.

The UNLV Foundation Scholarship Endowment Fund
If you would like to make a one-time scholarship tribute gift in honor or in memory of a loved one or associate, you may contribute to the UNLV Foundation's Scholarship Endowment Fund. Income from this scholarship endowment is awarded to academically talented students in all areas of undergraduate and graduate study.

You may also establish a named scholarship endowment fund with a minimum gift of $25,000. Additions to established endowment funds are gratefully accepted in any amount. The university recommends that endowments total at least $85,000 if the donor’s goal is to provide tuition and other expenses for a full-time student.

Annual gifts may also be directed to a particular college, school, department, or program. A full-time student will typically pay at least $3,750 annually for tuition and books.
