Discount Announced on National Airlines Effective immediately, a 10% discount on all National Airline flights are available to all students, staff, faculty, and guests of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Reservations must be made and tickets must be issued by one of the five independent and franchised travel agencies contracted by the University (Appendix K). National Airlines, our "Home Town Airline", flies non-stop to Chicago (Midway and OHare), New York (JFK), Newark, Washington DC (National), Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. National Airlines was ranked among the top five U.S. airlines in service according to the "2001 Zagat Airline Survey". National's overall ranking, tied for fourth, was higher than every U.S. major airline except one. More than 31,000 frequent flyers were polled in the survey resulting in National being ranked third in the "Food" category, fourth in the "Comfort" category, and sixth in the "Service" category. National ranked higher in almost every category than its three major competitors. Combined with the customer service award received in the latest Conde Nast Traveler magazine "Reader's Choice Awards", the Zagat survey is evidence that "Everything is better up here."
