Bachelor of Science in Public Administration IntroductionThe mission of the Department of Public Administration is to develop in students an understanding of the governmental, social, and economic environment of public service and health care administration at the national, state, and local levels. People with a degree of public administration find career opportunities in a variety of organizations. Employment is possible at the local, state, and national levels of government, nonprofit agencies, and trade and professional research foundations. Degree Requirements

New Degree Requirements: 7) Degree Requirements: Guided Electives....................................................... 20 credits Other Electives......................................................... 34 credits Course DescriptionsAdvisement The Greenspun College of Urban Affairs supports a professional advising center to assist students in planning their class schedules and preparing appropriate forms. It provides guidance in meeting all required steps toward graduation. All new students to the program will meet with an academic advisor in the Advising Center. Students should plan to meet with an advisor each semester. Appointments can easily be scheduled to allow for quality time in planning for academic success. When students are admitted into their majors at the junior level, faculty mentors are available to help them make important career decisions.
