Program Description
Application Deadlines
The deadline for submission of all application materials
for both U.S. residents and international students is a postmark of February
1 for Advanced Standing and March
1 for regular MSW. If you have

Degree Requirements
The graduate-level program curriculum is designed to
prepare students for professional social work careers working with diverse
populations in urban settings. Students select an emphasis in one of the
following three areas:
- Direct Practice -
advanced practice with individuals, families and small groups
- Management and Community Practice - advanced practice in social welfare
organizations and agencies.
- Child Welfare -
prepares students for advanced practice at the casework level with
children and families and at the administrative practice and planning
levels in child welfare organizations and agencies.
The Regular full-time program (60 credits) requires four
semesters to complete and begins in the fall semester. Nine hundred (900)
clock hours of field instruction are completed concurrently with the required
class work.
The Advanced Standing full-time program (42 credits)
requires 2 semesters and a summer session to complete and begins in the
summer session. Six hundred (600) clock hours of field are completed
concurrently with fall and spring semesters required class work.
Part-time study options in both the regular and advanced
standing programs are available.
No credit is given for previous work/life experience or for
graduate course work completed more than six calendar years prior to the term
in which all degree requirements are met.
