REU - Applying Online

Qualifications

Applications will be accepted from U.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited college with an undergraduate major in the biological sciences or related field. Preference will be given to students that have completed a microbiology course with a laboratory (4 credits), two semesters of inorganic chemistry with lab (8 credits), English composition (3 credits) and a minimum of college algebra or biostatistics (3 credits). Candidates must provide a statement clearly describing their research interests. Two letters of recommendation from science instructors are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted and may be received by mail or electronic mail.

The deadline for applications is March 7, 2009.
