| Jonathan Strand received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He teaches international political economy, political economy of the Asia-Pacific, US foreign policy. and global environmental politics. Dr. Strand was a fellow and a visiting researcher at the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU/IAS) in Tokyo. He is working on studies of decision-making within the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and regional development funds; and he is the co-recipient of funding from the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership for a study of the feasibility of a World Environmental Organization. He is currently serving as President of the International Studies Association-West region. |
