Admission Requirements

In order to be admitted into the College of Liberal Arts, students must meet the following requirements:

• Entering freshmen, transfer students from within UNLV or transfer students from other institutions must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Students must also satisfy the department GPA requirements before being admitted to the major. Individual departments may have higher GPA cumulative requirements. Check the catalog GPA requirements.
• Students who have a GPA sufficient for admission to the college, but not for their particular major will be admitted as a pre-major.
• University policy states that a candidate for a bachelor's degree must complete the last 30 semester credits in uninterrupted residence as a major in the college from which the degree is expected.
