Workshop & Training Opportunities

Grant and research funding exploration workshops:
The Library's seminar series will include special workshops designed to help graduate & professional students explore both university and external funding for research and development in the 2008-2009 academic year. Workshops will explore, by discipline, practical ways to search for various types of university, community, foundational, state and private funding available for research. Please call 895-2123 or register online.

Library faculty and graduate student seminar series:
The University Libraries’ seminar series offer a full series of instructional seminars each semester that cover a variety of topics and disciplines.

Campus-wide professional development calendar:

The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC):
The University Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) is dedicated to providing UNLV’s teaching community—full-time faculty, part-time/adjuncts, and graduate teaching assistants—with resources and support needed to ensure that the highest quality of teaching and learning takes place throughout the University.

Office for the Protection of Research Subjects:
OPRS periodically offers workshops and open forums for researchers.

Writing Center:
The Writing Center can help you with any writing assignment, at any stage of the writing process. They can help you in person, or you can send your paper using the simple form on our Online Writing Lab (OWL) page. Grad assistants and adjunct instructors: the UNLV Writing Center will send a consultant to your class to talk about the services the Writing Center can offer your students.
