One of the most important services the GPSA offers for UNLV graduate & professional students is the allocation of funds for graduate & professional research. This service is intended to support projects which directly affect a student's degree program as well as make a contribution to the scholar's field. The GPSA does not provide funding for student organizations. Please contact the Student Activities Funding Board for information regarding this type of funding @ 895-2508.
Nov. 15, 2008 Emergency FundingEmergency funding is available for those students who are accepted to present at a conference after the grant application deadline for the semester of travel has passed. Also, if conference dates are between the fall and spring semesters, i.e., the winter intersession, students qualify as an emergency applicant. Emergency grants applications must be turned into the GPSA Office, Lied Library, by the 20th of each month, at which time the application will be reviewed. Please note: Funds for summer 2008 emergency grants have been depleted. A stipulation in receiving a GPSA grant is that all recipients must present in the upcoming Graduate & Professional Student Research Forum. Next year’s event is to be held March 28, 2009. Check out other funding information and resources here. |
