Students
enrolled in the School of Architecture are encouraged to
consider a semester of study abroad. Fourth year design
students may elect to spend the fall or winter term at the
University of Brighton's School of Architecture and Interior
Design in Brighton, England. A four-week summer program
in Art, Design, and Architecture is also available. With
state of the art studio and research facilities, and an
internationally recognized faculty, the University of Brighton
provides an excellent educational opportunity. Located less
than an hour by train south of London, Brighton is a cosmopolitan
resort city on the beautiful Sussex coast. Local landmarks
include the Palace Pier and John Nash's Royal Pavilion of
1815. Nearby, in towns such as Rottingdean, Arundel, and
Lewes, medieval churches, castles, and streetscapes can
be found. And from the nearby port cities of Folkestone
and Dover the European continent is just a short ferry ride
away. Some scholarship funds are available to UNLV students.
